The home buying process can be confusing and stressful. Not only do you need to consider things such as price and location, you also have to worry about whether the house itself has any hidden problems that could become costly surprises down the road. As a professional home inspector and Washington State Pest inspector, it's my job to look for those hidden problems for you. A home inspection is similar to getting a physical checkup. If problems/symptoms are found the home inspector will recommend repairs and/or further evaluations as needed.
All homes have both strong and weak points. Knowing the homes defects before you buy can be the difference between enjoying years of happiness, having chosen wisely, or risking financial devastation by owning a "money pit". The home inspection is an unbiased, professional assessment of the condition of the house. It provides you with an expert opinion and professional report on the condition of the physical structure and various systems within a house, giving you peace of mind on what is likely the largest purchase you'll ever make. A decision of this magnitude needs to be made with the confidence and the knowledge gained by having your home professionally inspected by Pacific Ridge Home Services, LLC before you buy.

I work for you. I'll give you the straight facts about the condition of the home you are about to purchase.
I usually do only 2 inspections per day (in the summer, the long days sometimes allow me to do 3). This allows me the time I need to do a thorough inspection of your home and explain my findings to you. A cheap inspection may be the most expensive thing you'll ever buy. Cheap inspectors are often uninsured, lack experience, provide less service and don't have the specialized equipment necessary to perform a thorough home inspection. A cheap inspection may end up costing you thousands down the road because of missed or unreported defects.
I have been in the construction industry for 9 yrs. I am also a former licensed general contractor in Washington State. I have built and remodeled many houses. This background not only makes me a better Home Inspector but enables me to offer you the valuable 'fix-it yourself' advice you may need as a new home owner.
I inspect your home as if my family was going to live in it. You'll learn things about the home you wouldn't find out any other way, such as maintenance tips, safety concerns and estimated life expectancies of vital components. I will take the time to explain the systems and components of the home, show you where your main disconnects are and answer any questions you may have. I'm also available for questions even after you move in, I want to be your 'building consultant for life'.
